Galena Seniors Honored by KU

The KU Honors Program has been a tradition since 1971. It recognizes high school seniors across the state of Kansas for their academic accomplishments. The Honor Program is for all high school seniors that are ranked in the top 10 percent of their class. Student Council Honors Alumni & Teacher of the Spring Semester

King Austin & Queen Raevyn Crowned

Junior Austin Harshman and Senior Raevyn Williams were crowned the 2017 Basketball Homecoming King and Queen Friday night at halftime of the boys varsity game against Southeast.  Earlier in the evening, the Galena girls squeaked past the Lady Lancers with a 41-38 outcome.  The Bulldog boys rolled past the Lancer boys with a 66-46 score to round out the evening.

Shoes for Liberty Students

Fourteen Liberty students received new shoes recently thanks to the generosity of New Balance and The New York Road Runner's Shoes for Kids Program. Liberty Students Get To Swim In January

Students at Liberty Elementary got to go swimming at Five Mile Camp recently. Every student, over 100 in total, who had met their Accelerated Reader (AR) goal for both quarters, went swimming. The students were broken up into three different days because of the sheer number. Students arrived around 11:30 and were served a great meal, and then they swam for about an hour and a half.
